Many people simply cannot afford to hire a lawyer and frequently those who are able to foot the bill for legal services do not know what an appropriate fee structure looks like. Even more, many people believe that the more money they spend, the better service they will receive on their legal case. We wondered when costs represented good values and when they became excessive.

As with any purchase, the consumer needs to research what they will be receiving in terms of quality and value for the dollar. “Purchasing” a lawyer’s time is no different. Just like our previous post, questions about experience, certifications and specialties all come into play here. But to really understand how to navigate legal fees, we looked to our panel of legal professionals.
