As with any company these days, law firms are using online marketing as a huge key to their success. Social media, in particular, is easily accessible and can really add to a law firm’s online presence. When utilized correctly, tweets and Facebook statuses can share a lot about the type of work a law firm excels at. However, we also know that social media can sometimes cross personal lines, causing problems for both lawyers and their clients.
We’re always looking to help our lawyers get clients through the door, and social media can be a great tool for this. We also want clients to know how to use social media without creating new legal problems or hurting existing legal battles. To help us evaluate the effectiveness and benefits/pitfalls of social media, we turned to our panel of legal professionals to guide us in the right direction and give us some insight on these online marketing tools.
